Every Six Months

Review and document your own performance and contributions at work. This is a great way to prepare for annual performance reviews, to justify desired raises or promotions. Ask yourself, “How have I contributed at work?”

Update your resume–whether you are currently seeking other employment or not. If you desire a promotion or new opportunity, it is far better to operate in a “when” versus “if” it happens mindset. If you “want” an opportunity, you are unsure. If you “expect” it, you are ready to receive it. Expect a request for your resume and stay ready.
